A Higher Form of Asset Intelligence.

SAP AIN and ASPM for asset Integrity needs

Operators in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, and Chemical businesses operate in an asset intensive environment for the exploration and production of their products. In many cases, the management of these assets provide inherent safety, environmental, and production risks.

For this reason, operators must understand the current and future state of the physical asset responsible for containment of the harmful product, or reliability for safety and production reasons.

To date, operators are forced to develop or purchase commercial Off-The-Shelf (OTS) products to help manage the data associated with physical assets. These digital solutions are often internally created spreadsheets, applications that are hard to scale or OTS software solutions that contribute to data silos. These point solutions often create risk by causing barriers to people responsible for aggregating the information. Preventing them from making tactical and strategic decisions in managing the physical asset to avoid safety, environmental, or production related incidents.

Choose a scalable platform that supports the core data and capabilities needed to manage the critical asset throughout the various stages of the asset life cycle (FEED, Construction, Installation, In-Service, and Decommission). Implement a platform that allows configuration and integrates with apps enabling mobility of your asset integrity program.

SAP has long been the standard for asset intensive industries as the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) System or Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) of choice. SAP has recently innovated with the additional of their Cloud Based Asset Intelligence Networking (AIN) solution set to augment the traditional SAP Plant Maintenance Products. The solution consists of Asset Intelligence Network (AIN), Asset Strategy and Performance Management (ASPM) , and Predictive Maintenance and Service (PDMS).

The ingenuity of these platforms allow the integration and persistence of critical data as part of the SAP Master Data. SAP’s new platform also enables strategic partners to create key functionality.

  • Consolidation of IT systems to reduce overhead – Reducing 3rd party interfaces, backend servers, application support, and user management.
  • Single source of information to make strategic and tactical decisions – Aggregating information for the various disciplines (reliability, maintenance, and inspections) to communicate and avoid failures.
  • Sustainable solution overtime – reducing the need to change the IDMS and risk systems every few years.
