Introducing One Connected Platform to Inspect

HAZOP software for process hazard studies

AsInt HAZOP is a SAP application for documenting Hazard and Operability Studies. Record nodes, guide words, deviations, causes, consequences and safeguards. Review risk, attach supporting documents and prepare recommendations within the study.

Manage HAZOP studies

Create a HAZOP study and record its nodes, guide words, deviations, causes, consequences and safeguards. Use the study view to review the information entered by the team.

Node details

To identify possible hazards and operational issues, Node information must be precise and reliable. Node details usually include a node ID or number, a brief description of the process section, and the associated equipment or pipeline being studied. It also contains important process parameters such as flow, pressure, temperature, and level, along with their normal operating conditions.

Attachments

Attachments – where users can upload and store supporting documents related to the study. This allows the team to attach findings, reports, P&ID diagrams, screenshots, and other relevant files for each node or deviation. The attachment feature helps maintain proper documentation, improves traceability of HAZOP findings, and ensures all supporting information is easily accessible during the review and follow-up process

Record deviations, causes and consequences

For each deviation, record possible causes and consequences alongside the relevant safeguards. This lets the team review each scenario and decide whether additional recommendations are needed.

Mitigated & Unmitigated risk

Unmitigated risk refers to the level of hazard or operational threat present if no controls or safeguards are in place. Once existing or proposed barriers—such as safety systems, alarms, procedural controls, or engineering modifications—are applied, the risk is mitigated, reducing the likelihood or severity of potential consequences. Documenting both the unmitigated risk and the corresponding mitigated risk allows the HAZOP team to evaluate the effectiveness of safeguards, prioritize additional safety measures, and ensure that the process operates within acceptable risk limits, thereby supporting safer and more reliable operations.

Risk matrix

A structured framework that helps identify, assess, and categorize risks based on their probability of occurrence and potential impact, enabling effective risk management and decision-making.

Meeting Notes

Based on the insights while doing study at consequence layer, a structured implementation plan will be developed, outlining the necessary actions, responsibilities, and timelines. Proper documentation of the study results and proposed actions will be performed.

Meeting Notes

Team details at study level

A feature implemented to provide a consolidated view of all team members involved in the study, capturing participation across all HAZOP assessments at the node level. This functionality would enable users to easily access and review the complete list of contributors working throughout the entire study, ensuring transparency and better coordination among stakeholders. By aggregating team member information from each node-level assessment, the feature will help maintain clear documentation of roles and involvement across the study lifecycle.

Recommendation and Publish

Draft recommendations at consequence level during the study. Before publishing, review the selected recommendations and convert them into formal APM recommendations.

By systematically analyzing each part of the process—often referred to as nodes—the team can identify potential risks such as equipment failure, human error, or process deviations. Based on the analysis, recommendations are developed to eliminate hazards or reduce their likelihood and impact. These recommendations may include design modifications, additional safety controls, improved instrumentation, updated operating procedures, or enhanced training for personnel. Through this structured evaluation and implementation of mitigation measures, HAZOP helps organizations proactively manage risks, improve process safety, and ensure safe and efficient operations.
